Marketing Yourself - ”UNofficial Bloggers Anthem”

Have you see this video yet? No? I think you’ll like it. ;) Props to Clever Girls Collective for sharing!

So many times, we bloggers, especially women, are a bit on the timid side about marketing ourselves. We don’t like to toot our own horn or put ourselves out there on a grand scale and that’s ok. BUT…we also have to make ourselves and our missions known because we have some seriously powerful stuff to share that deserves attention. If we want to get ahead and make our voices heard, it’s absolutely necessary to get your face out there and give everyone taste of your awesome. I think this video accomplishes that in a fun and unique way.

Why it Works

As far as personal marketing goes, this is brilliant! From jump, the video is catchy, fun and gets all the right points across. She’s showing her style, her influence and what kinds of sponsors she’s into. From a blogger’s perspective, you can bet that many more of us are taking note and getting hyped about connecting with her at future conferences, which translates to more collaboration and greater reach.

We all know that vlogging is a great way to connect with blog readers too, so just imagine how far a great video like this could go. SERIOUSLY. ♥

Why Brands Should Take Note

Brands, if you’re not catering to this girl’s every whim now, you better get on it because if this video is any indication, she’s got serious potential. This is the kind of “outside-the-box” thinking that can get brands noticed and it’s exactly the kind of thing that can spread like wildfire online. #UNofficialBloggersANTHEM

What this Means for Bloggers

Bloggers, we’ve got to step up our game, for REAL. Creative social media is essential to marketing our blogs. Whether that means beautiful images, flashy graphics or catchy videos, we have to focus on STANDING OUT. This video is a great example of that. ;)
