It sounds easy, but one of the scariest things you can do is make yourself visible.
For years, I’ve worked behind a computer screen or a camera. I’m the creator, the techy and the designer…but I am NOT the one who enjoys being the center of attention.
My husband is a natural extrovert. He loves being in the limelight. He’s a great salesman and a storyteller. That is not me. I do my best work on a canvas…whether digital or physical.
I love connecting with people. I love building community. But I’m not the person who enjoys doing live video or being in photoshoots…lol.
And that’s ok. You know what I do really well? I teach. I create tutorials. I record podcasts. I write. And those are valuable talents because they are awesome ways to connect with an audience too.
You don’t have to be on video, or be live or be “the face” of your brand in order to make it. But…you do have to be visible.
Being visible isn’t simply a matter of being on-screen. Maybe it’s your face…OR…maybe it’s your voice hosting a podcast, maybe it’s your hands creating a recipe or craft, maybe it’s a series of brush strokes on a canvas.
There are so many ways to connect with your audience.
So, if video isn’t your thing…that’s ok. You can find other ways to be visible and to connect.
Because more and more, what people really care about is the drive behind the brand. Who are you, what matters to you and why. They’re searching for a deeper connection. 💖
Best,
